This shape is designed for surfing in natural waves and pools for surfers up to 85 kg, but can also be surfed by lighter surfers in waves with less power.

Riders weight recommendations: C-Type-Range

The SUPER-RAILS technology extends the lifespan of a pool or river surfboard, usually ridden between concrete walls, by quite a margin. This type of rail reinforcement does not change flex or looks of the surfboard.

We’ve designed this radical shortboard together with the Jochen Schweizer Citywave team especially for surfpools like the Citywave or the Unitwave. The board is made for expert level riders who surf these waves in the Pro setting and are looking for maximum performance.

Several tests in German Surfers Mag confirmed the cutting edge performance of this board. You can ride this board in natural river waves as well if you have a powerful wave and if you are a strong, agile surfer who knows how to generate speed.

The middle brother/sister and the best selling model of our very popular Chameleon family, named after the easy adaptation to all kinds of different wave types and strengths. Relatively wide, slightly more nose rocker and a double winger squash tail. These features make for a board with a very variable sweet spot. Change your stance forward a little bit for weaker waves or backwards when you feel the power.

This riverboard rides well in almost all natural river conditions. From the Floßlände to the Eisbach to the Ebensee, to name a few examples, at all water levels. Ideal for middle weight surfers who are looking for the widest possible range of use. Not particularly suited for Citywave type of waves.

Easy flow and hard turns for lighter and smaller surfers. A little bit wider nose but overall a slim, narrow, compact shape. Hard edges allow for tight turns.

Good choice for steep, narrow and powerful waves or Citywave type of waves for surfers up to 70 kg. High acceleration out of the turns and optimal control can be achieved, even in small spaces.

A fresh take on a river board twin. Could be roughly described as performance alternative shape. Very compact and low volume but the fastest board in our range. Flat deck for reduced thickness and better feel of the wave. Swallow tail winger adds extra bite. With a slightly higher skill level this board will fly and offers all opportunities for style oriented surfing.

Amazingly wide weight range makes it easy to surf both powerful and medium waves with just one board. Generally suitable for all weak and mushy waves. For more powerful waves add some weight. Tested on Citywaves for riders up to 100kg.

Hard Skin Versatile Softboard

Since 2023 we are offering the Puffy Puffin pool and river softboard series for beginners and intermediate surfers. The boards are handmade out of extremely durable materials making them an excellent choice for surfers of all skill levels in board eating waves like Floßlände in Munich or the waves in Nuernberg or Hannover.

The construction, shape and fin setup were exclusively developed for the requirements of pool and river surfers and meet the highest demands. The board shapes are similar to our performance hardboards.

The Shapes

We have 20 years of experience in shaping performance hardboards for standing waves. Outline and rockerline were chosen for offering an optimum compromise between performance and stability. With a little bit more nose rocker the boards react more forgiving to riders mistakes and won´t nose dive so quickly. The shapes cover a very wide range of use and are suitable for waves with a “weak”, “medium”, or “powerful” classification, depending on surfers body weight of course.

The Construction

The softboards come with a HDPE top and bottom layer, combined with shaped particularly soft and robust PE rails. This results in a ride that comes close to hardboards. The board features a double multilayer composite / wood stringer in combination with a 100% waterproof X-Density EPS core. In our opinion this is the best softboard construction on the market without additional fiberglass laminates.

The thruster setup can be ridden as a twin, as a twin with a small center fin or as regular thruster, giving the surfer more options to fine tune the board. For the best performance we recommend riding the board with hard side fins and a small center fin. Beginners should use the supplied soft fins.

Instead of laminated fin boxes we use “through the deck” softfin FCS I plugs. All fins compatible with the FCS I system fit these boxes. Should a finbox get damaged it can be replaced in a few simple steps.

Hardboard with Softshell Space Twin Puffin

A combination of a hardboard and a softboard. Actually a hardboard in a soft shell. Developed for pool and riversurfing exclusively, the shape corresponds to our hardboard Space Twin. This construction offers maximum possible softboard performance while maintaining best possible durability. Due to this construction the surfboards are as stiff and direct to ride as hardboards. We believe that these boards are the best performing softboards for rapid, pool & riversurfing on the market.

This shape offers a new approach in river surfing and can be classified as Performance Alternative Shape. The board generates a lot of speed and allows for style oriented high performance surfing.

The top side of this board is slightly concave for reduced thickness better grip and feel. The shape covers a very wide range of use and is particularly suitable for surfers who regularly surf waves in both the “powerful” and “medium” wave classifications.

The Construction

Only the highest grade materials are used in building this surfboard.

The board is made of an EPS foam core, the top laminated with 2 x 6oz fiberglass and a sandwich wood layer, which make the boards resilient to pressure dings. The bottom is laminated with 2 x 4oz fiberglass. The IXPE soft top layer has a Crocodile Emboss structure, making waxless surfing possible. The HDPE bottom layer is extra impact resistant.

With the fin setup we went in a new direction. Instead of the usual thruster setup, the Space Twin series has a twin fin + stabilizer setup. Whether you want to ride the shape as a twin fin or as a twin fin with a small center fin is up to your personal taste.
