Especially light surfers find it more difficult to ride in a controlled manner on the rental boards due to the large tail area.

Rapid surfing is a fairly new term in the surfing world and is intended to summarize river surfing and surfing on artificial standing waves such as citywave and unit wave type waves. Rapid surfing is what used to be known as “stationary wave riding”, a somewhat unwieldy term.
There is now even a Rapid Surf League in German-speaking countries, which organizes contests on river waves and artificial commercial waves.
Basically, the discipline of rapid surfing is much trickier than normal surfing. You can see many elements of skateboarding or snowboarding in the contests in particular.
For us as a surfboard manufacturer, however, the term “pool & amp; riversurfboards” still applies. We have not yet been able to come to terms with the term “rapidsurfboards”.
There are currently more and more waves of the city wave and unit wave type. New riversurf spots are also being developed. Here you can find the latest news from this area.
